John "Jack" Walsh

John A. "Jack" Walsh, 74 of Frackville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 10th.

Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late John and Yolanda (Pilo) Walsh. He worked in the maintenance department of North Schuylkill School District until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Clair and served in the reserves of the United States Army.

A man of deep faith and many passions, Jack found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time hunting, and his skill and creativity shone through his woodworking projects. A devoted fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Philadelphia Phillies, he rarely missed a game and loved cheering on his favorite teams.

Jack also took great pride in making his own wine, a hobby that perfectly captured his spirit - careful, proud of the process, and happiest when sharing the finished product with friends and family.

His strong devotion to Padre Pio guided him throughout his life and brought him great comfort and strength. "Pray, Hope and Don't Worry"

Jack is survived by his wife, with whom they just celebrated 50 years of marriage, Barbara (Chiccini) Walsh of Frackville; his two sons: John Walsh and his wife Tabitha, Frackville; Patrick Walsh and his wife Rebecca, Pittsburgh; his two daughters: Nicole Riviello and her husband Peter, Springfield; Kathleen Katulis and her husband Joe, Fountain Springs; his 14 grandchildren: Emalie, Emily, Kevin, Johnny, Caleb, Mason, Anelya, Scarlett, Declan, Maria, Peter, Elizabeth, Michael and Callum.

Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will be private.
