Funeral services for Mr. John Harold Ward, age 83, will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 3 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 12 p.m. until service time.
Mr. Ward, a retired truck driver, was born in Gibson County on February 4, 1942, and passed away at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital on May 14, 2025.
He preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Vonda Needham Ward; his son, Dewayne Ward; and his brother, James Ward.
He is survived by two daughters, Monica Huggins of Mercer and Katania Mainers of Jackson; one brother, Freeman (Carolyn) Ward of Rutherford; one sister, Joan Curlin of Jackson; three grandchildren, Justin (Megan) McKee, Blake McKee, and Brett (Jas) Mainers; and six great grandchildren, Sam, Clair, Layne, Bennett, Wyatt, and Naomi.
