John Douglas Warden “Doug” of St. Charles, MO passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 88. Loving husband of Marlene Warden. Loved and will be missed by his children: Kim Scally, Lisa Andreas (Mike), Bryan Warden (Lisa). Grandchildren: Kirstyn Hopkins (Dan), Erik Scally (Courtney) Matthew Warden, Aniston Andreas. Great grandchildren: Emmett Hopkins, Walter Hopkins, Lane Scally, Magnolia Scally. Dear uncle to his nieces and nephews. Doug is preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Clifford, James & Virgil.
Family gatherings were very important to Doug and always brought a smile to his face and lifted his spirits. Doug loved to travel and always found a way to direct his conversation to describe the many trips he and Marlene have enjoyed over the years.
Doug enjoyed his houseboat on Kentucky Lake and on the Mississippi River. Doug said many times that he loved his life and was blessed to have enjoyed so many wonderful years.
He was employed by Mid Valley Supply (a plumbing & heating wholesale dealer) from 1954 to 1965. In 1965 he began a career in sales at Laclede Gas Company until his retirement in 1998. Doug enjoyed being a member of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown St. Louis and a member of America's Boating Club (United States Power Squadrons).
