John Warnke Obituary
John was a 35 year resident of the Vail Valley & was employed as a real estate broker with Ho man West Real Estate before his retirement in 2016.
John was a passionate outdoorsman who found happiness in the mountains he called home. He spent his days skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, mountain biking, golfing and fishing ~ activities that brought him closer to nature and filled his life with peace and contentment.
John was also a long time devout member of Gracious Savior Church, where his faith guided his life and actions. He was known for his kindness, humility and strong belief in serving others.
John is survived by his loving wife, Becky Courtwright, his children KC Warnke (Elizabeth) and Mari Lyn Warnke and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia Warnke, Duke Warnke and Marah Williamson. He is also remembered by his step-son Mark Williamson (Brittainy Williamson) as well as his beloved sister Jan Warnke and her husband Chris Wilt.
John's life was a testament to his love for his family, his faith and the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but his spirit will live on in the mountains, trails and streams he loved so dearly.

As a fellow real estate broker in Vail for many years John and I crossed paths several times. He was one of the good guys. My condolences to his family and know he was well liked and respected by his peers.

KC - Just saw the obit of your Dad in the Vail Daily and wanted to reach out to you. Couldn't find any other way than here, so I apologize if this is inappropriate, but just wanted to say hello and I'm sorry for your loss. I only met your Dad (and Mom) a few times here in the valley, but he was always so polite and had no problem with you working for the long-haired music store owner. To say you've done well for yourself is an apparent understatement, and for what it's worth I couldn't be prouder to have had you as a friend back at the end of your high school career.
