John Wetzel Sr. Obituary
John William Wetzel Sr., age 71, of Whitehall, formerly of Mount Washington, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. Beloved Husband of 36 years to Janet Marie (Schaefer) Wetzel. Loving Father of Barbara (Joe) Martinelli, Kristin (Lonelle) Freeman, John W, (Alison) Wetzel Jr. and David Wetzel. Cherished Pap of Layla, Nikki, Donny, Marissa, Myah, Ellie and Wyatt. Loving Great Pap of Navani. Beloved Son of the late Walter C. Wetzel Sr. and Winifred (McLaughlin) Wetzel. Loving Brother of Patricia (Ken) Rimkus, Thomas (Nancy) Wetzel, Daniel (Mary) Wetzel, Ronald (Jana) Wetzel, Winifred (Jay) Stegena, Susan (Don) Weimer and the late Walter “Wally” Wetzel. Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews and Friends. John was a dedicated Port Authority Bus Driver for 30+ years and a lifetime member of the South Hills Republican Club, serving as Past President and current Board Member. Family and Friends welcome Monday, January 20, 2025 from 2-8 pm WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 where a service will be held Monday at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private to the family.
