John R. White of Trumansburg passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the age of 70.
John honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1979. He worked to provide for his family and volunteered his time to various organizations over the years because he loved giving back to his community.
John is survived by his wife, Polly White; sons, Timothy (Alicia) White and Andrew (Carisa) White; 2 granddaughters and lights of his life, Peyton and Makenzie; 7 granddaughters; two grandsons; sisters, Virginia Krokenberger and Linda White; several half siblings; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie White; son, Joe in 2023; brother, Daniel White; and sister, Juanita Tanner.
The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 20 at the funeral home with committal prayers to follow at Ovid Union Cemetery.
