Rev. Dr. John L. Williams, 84, took his heavenly rest Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with Prayer Service at 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Viewing beginning at 10:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3201 Frutas. Committal Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Please visit online registry at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net.

I served with First Sergeant Williams at Beaumont Army Medical Center from 1983-83. I was the company clerk. He was a good friend, always had a smile on his face, and was just a great mentor. May his memory be for a blessing.

With sympathies and prayers to the family of Reverend John Williams, we thank God for his lifetime of service to my beloved Shiloh. He was such a powerful witness and warrior of faith. Always present at Beaumont when my father was hospitalized. I have long since internalized his phrase, "If you don´t know, just keep on living!"
And if you keep on living, you know God´s word is true.

Praying for the Willams, Graves, and Johnson family durning this time of bereavement. May the Lord grant you peace and strength durning this time! Rev Williams was truly a man of God and showed it with his life style. It is my prayer that you find peace in knowing to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and earth has no sorrow heaven cannot heal
