John Robert Williams April 12, 1941 ~ August 14, 2025
John Robert Williams, 84, Logansport, passed away at his home at 9:50 pm on Thursday, August 14, 2025. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, April 12, 1941, to Donald and Donna (Hammond) Williams. John graduated from Epworth Private School and attended Indiana Business College.
In his early years, he worked at General Electronics in Upland and then later as an accountant with H & R Block. He was a birthright member of Apostolic Friends Church and a member of The Sons of Harmony Barbershop Quartet. He loved fishing and singing with the barbershop quartet and barbershop chorus. He enjoyed mowing lawns, both his own and the lawn at the church.
Survivors include his daughters, Diana (Toby) Doyle of Destin, FL, Sherri Mansbarger of Huntington, Kathleen Heuer (Karl) of Logansport; son, Donald D. (Stacey) Williams; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Donna Williams; wife, O. Jean Williams; and great-great granddaughter, Ahm'Unique Williams.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate John's life will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery.
