John F. Wise passed away in Clearfield, Utah on November 24, 2022 at age 77. He was born in Ogden, Utah to James Francis and Leona Petersen Wise. He was a hard worker who always went the extra mile and could be counted on to do a job well.
He loved life, people and nature and was enormously curious about the world and the universe. He loved the National Parks, especially Yellowstone, dinosaurs, Match Box cars, books about nature, superheroes, and Star Wars. He was an artist and an inventor. He loved mechanical things and had the ability to see how they worked. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved playing games. He was a competitive and adept opponent.
John loved Christmas, he was a very humble man and giving a gift made him cry. He was kind, gentle, honest and unselfish. He would help anyone.
He is survived by his two sisters; Virginia O’Grodnick and Christine Watkins, niece Amber Watkins-Olpin, nephews: Ryan and Adam Watkins, great-nieces and nephews; Myles Watkins, Aria Watkins-Olpin, Rhett Watkins, and Eden Olpin, and many loving and devoted cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Leona Wise, brother-in-law Thomas O'Grodnick, and great-nephew Luke Watkins. He was also preceded in death by many loving aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main Street, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit with family from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.
Interment, Honeyville City Cemetery.
