Thoughts and prayers are with your family. I knew John when I was on Howell Fire Dept. He will be missed.

I got to know Chief Wright when I hired into the fire department in 2020 as the first Administrave Assistant. Although he was retiring, he continued to come in to help Chief Feig and I through the transition. He was instrumental in making sure the process went as smooth as possible. He was always so patient, positive and enjoyable to be around. Even after we got a handle on things, his knowledge, experience and presence were always welcomed and appreciated. Over the years he continued to come in for frequent visits, which I personally enjoyed. He´d sit with me and chat over a warm cup of coffee. Getting to know him was a joy and a pleasure. I could tell how much he loved his family, community and the fire department. He would also sit and share so many fond memories of his travels out west. He was a strong man who continued to push himself and not give up. Even though I never actually worked directly for him, he will always be a huge part of my memories in Fowlerville. I will miss his frequent morning visits to catch me up on how he was doing. Rest well Chief. You fought the good fight. Your body, mind and soul can now be at peace. God Bless you.
