The Life and Times of John Nathan "Nate" Youngbeck John Nathan "Nate" Youngbeck of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on August 30, 2025 in North Florida. Mr. Youngbeck was born on July 27, 1980 in Atlanta. He grew up with his family in Roswell, Georgia where he graduated from Fellowship Christian Academy and Roswell High School. He attended Fork Union Military Academy and Liberty University in Virginia. Mr. Youngbeck used his engaging personality to become involved in media communications first in Telluride, Colorado and then the Florida Panhandle. Later, after a venture in heirloom tomato farming with family friend and Treehouse Farms owner Ted Foret, he joined forces with his brother Carey in owning and operating a restoration business in the Atlanta area that also aided in post-hurricane disaster recovery in Houston, Texas and Panama City, Florida. An active outdoorsman, Mr. Youngbeck loved to explore new areas in camping and hiking with family and friends. His favorites were the forests of North Georgia and the windswept white sand dunes of Cape San Blas, Florida. Nate loved tradition, travel and time with family, circling the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state, home of his aunt Barb and cousins Jess and Liz, and exploring the national parks of the Southwest with best friend Abba and the Waller family. He especially enjoyed time with his grandparents, celebrating Thanksgivings with his maternal grandparents in Decatur, Alabama and Christmastime in the snow at the home of his paternal grandparents in Mayville, Wisconsin. As a young man, Nate also made trips to Europe with his parents, admiring the yeoman warders and swords at The Tower of London, the castles on the Rhine in Germany and the Coliseum in Rome. Nate will be especially missed by a circle of friends he has kept close to him his entire life: Abba, Chris; Brandon; Dennis and Erik. As his friends say, Nate could light up a room and put a smile on everyone's face. He was a loyal friend who was known as a protector and defender. Nate is survived by his parents, mother Polli (Patti) and father John and Step -Mom Ann; sister Wren (Joe) Kendall and Kendall nieces Lilly, Lucy and Lainey, all of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and beloved brother Carey of Kennesaw, Georgia; Aunt and Uncle Steve and Jan Brown of Sugar Hill, Georgia and Nate's cousins Katie, Taylor, Caroline, Joshua, Benjamin and Mark; Uncle Jeff and Aunt Victoria Teague and cousins Hannah and Joshua of
Buford, GA and aunt Barbara (Larry) Mills of Healdsburg, California and cousins Jessica (Sumi) Annis-Das of Oakland, California and Elizabeth (TK) Annis-Mangan of Takoma Park, Maryland. Mr. Youngbeck was preceded in death by his cousin Jeremy Brown of Sugar Hill, Georgia; grandparents Mary and Cecil Teague of Decatur, Alabama and Evelyn and John Youngbeck, Sr., of Mayville, Wisconsin. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM ET on Saturday, September 20th, at The Chapel of the Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S. Lee Street,
