John Zubko Obituary
John Zubko was in the Army Reserves. He worked at Pittsburgh Steel as a brick layer. After 12 years there, he got a job as Supt of Brick Layers at Crucible Steel in Midland, PA. After Crucible Steel was bought out, he took a job at Refco in Pittsburgh, PA, where he was manager of their Refractory Division. John traveled to Germany and England and all over the United States with this company. After 10 years with this company, he was recruited by Lone Star Steel in Texas, where he was manager of their Refractory Division.
John is survived by his wife, Betty. They had 65 wonderful years together and had two children: Cynthia Pliler and spouse Steven, and Christopher Zubko and spouse Kristen. Also surviving are 3 grandsons, Brandon, Tyler and Ryan.
John loved the outdoors. He loved going to parks where he took his grandsons and taught them all about nature. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He will be laid to rest at the Cook Walden Capital Parks cemetery in Pflugerville, TX.
