On Friday Novem6er 11, 2025, God, in His infinitive wisdom, s\ \·that Johnathen DeAnthony Frink earthly mission had been fulfilled, and He welcomed him into eternal rest. Johnathen entered this world 38 years ago in
Trenton, New Jersey on October 2, 1987. From an early age, John's compassionate spirit shone brightly he was always the first to offer encouragement, extend a helping hand, and make those around him feel seen, supported, and valued. Johnathen received his education through the Lawrence Township Public School System, graduating from Lawrence High Schoof in 2006. After completing a mentorship program at the Lawrence Community Center, he discovered a passion for architectural design and project management. Pursuing that passion, John continued his studies at Mercer County Community College, where he earned his Associates of Arts & Sciences degree in Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology in 2011.
Soon after graduation, John began his professional career with Steven Kempf Building Material Company, where he dedicated himself to mastering his craft and continually striving for excellence. In 2022, he embraced a new opportunity with HC Quality Doors, serving as a Project Manager - a role he fulfilled with pride, diligence, and integrity until his transition. John loved sports, and basketball held a special place in his heart. A devoted Lakers fan, he admired Kobe Br y ant and embraced the Mamba Mentality" in every aspect of his life. He was dedicated to continuous growth, relentless hard work, and an unshakable competitive spirit. What began as love for the game soon became a lifelong calling.
As the passionate coach of the Valley Vipers, John found purpose not only in basketball but in mentoring young men - teaching them lessons that extended far beyond the court. He poured his heart into helping them become not just stronger athletes, but better individuals outside the gym, John cherished creating memories with his family and friends. Whether hosting gatherings, traveling the world, being "Mr. DIY' for himself and his mother, or catching a sale on crab legs, he brought laughter and joy wherever he went. Johnathen was a beloved son, a devoted brother, a phenomenal uncle, and a loyal friend. His legacy is one of service, love, faith, family and fellowship. Though his time on this earth was far too short, his impact will continue to live on in every life he touched.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Levie Frink Sr. and Mary (Tart) Frink; his paternal grandparents Reverend Ross and Evelyn Blue; his uncle Levie Frink Jr.; his beloved aunt Katherine Frink-Johnson; and his loyal sidekick Rocky.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Maxine Frink; father, Jonathan G. Blue; his siblings, Antonio D. Frink, Victoria D. Frink, Shayla Pratt, Deviyus J. Robert's (DJ), and Brianna J. Roberts; niece Alani N. Frink; nephew Antonio D. Frink Jr.; bonus Mom, Debra "Momma D" Bellamy and special friend, Alicia Little.
John was blessed with brothers not by blood, but by heart - Richard Louis Scott Jr., Serge Piard and Omar Joseph. Though he had no children by birth, God entrusted him with many through the gift of coaching and mentorship. He will be lovingly remembered by a host of other family members and dear friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, November 17, 2025 at First Baptist Church Of Eggerts Crossing, 121 Hillcrest Ave., Lawrence Township, NJ 08648. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
