Johnathon Curtis Reed, 37, of Kingsport, TN, had his life cut short on November 10, 2025. He was born in Indianapolis on May 23, 1988 to Michelle Estes and John R. Reed. Johnathon was preceded in death by his step-mother, Linda Reed, and grandparents.
Johnathon attended Ben Davis High School where he was particularly proud of his time in ROTC. He later moved to Tennessee for a change of pace. Growing up, he would spend every spare moment skateboarding and biking with friends. Later, like his dad, he loved to learn about and work on cars and motorcycles. He wore his heart on his sleeve, fiercely loyal to those he called friends and always helpful to those in need. He loved to talk about his daughters and how he always wanted the best for them.
He is survived by three daughters, Trinity, Riley, and Vera; father, John R. Reed; mother, Michelle Estes; sisters, Stephanie, and Chanda; brother, Matthew; nephews, Owen, Anthony, and Johnathan. He is also survived by many extended family members.
The family will receive friends at Helton & Harris Funeral Home, Danville, IN on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Clayton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to help cover funeral expenses at https://gofund.me/24dd05a57
