Johnie Winnell Obituary
Johnie was the son of the late Johnie and Phyllis Hager Winnell. In addition to his parent, Johnie was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Hughart Winnell; daughter, Stephanie Hammack; and son, Johnie Franklin Winnell III.
He is survived by 3 granddaughters, and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Christopher Mark Winnell, Letha Proctor, Joan Batten, and Thayer "Luke" Winnellk; and several nieces and nephews.
Johnie retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education, and was a member of Pocatalico Community Church, Sissonville.
Service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Pocatalico Community Church, 7138 Sissonville Drive, Charleston with Pastor Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before the service at the Church.
