Johnna Lynn Melvin, 63, of Ottawa passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at her home.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Johnna was born on September 8, 1962 in Streator to John W. and Dona (Harcharik) Melvin. She worked at Kroger.
She is survived by her lifelong companion, Terry Jerde; her beloved dog, Shadow; her sister, Kathlyn (Bruce) Amell; 7 nieces and nephews, Jennifer Pelka, Rich Pelka, Bruce Amell III, Bishop Amell, Sarah Melvin, Nickolas Jerde, Megan Jerde; 6 great nieces and nephews, Thomas Pelka, Annabelle Pelka, Jackson Jerde, Margaret Jerde, Lincoln Jerde and Ford Jerde.
She was preceded in death by her daughter in infancy, Jennifer Melvin; parents, John and Dona Melvin; and a mother-in-law, Janet Jerde.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
