Johnnie "John" Isaac Dorr August 21, 1928 – June 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Isaac Dorr, who left us on June 20, 2025, at his home. John was 96 years old.
Born in Wagoner, Oklahoma, on August 21, 1928, John made his way to California in 1952, where he built a life defined by dedication and love. For an astounding 68 years, John was a proud and integral part of the Sunview Vineyards family.
John was a man of simple pleasures whose world revolved around his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary, of 42 years, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will deeply feel his absence.
Beyond his work, John cherished the tranquility of the outdoors, the timeless stories of Western films, and the camaraderie he found with his church and his colleagues in the fields. His infectious spirit was evident in his love for sharing jokes and riddles, bringing smiles to countless faces. John's willingness to help others knew no bounds; he was never too tired to offer assistance, a true blessing to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 30, 2025, at North Kern Cemetery in Delano, California.
