Born on October 31, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, Johnnie's life was a testament to the virtues of kindness, generosity, and devotion to family. She departed from this world in Bonham, Texas, after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Johnnie's journey through life was marked by her steadfast love for her husband, Brian Gavin, who stood by her side in a marriage that was a true partnership of the heart. She is survived by her son David Harper and his wife Kasey, grandchildren Payton Harper and Dawson Harper, sister Mickie Vaughn and her husband Eric, and brother Jerry Rogers.

Johnnie, known affectionately as Grammy, took immense pride in her grandchildren, attending every event and milestone with unwavering support and enthusiasm. She leaves a legacy of warmth and compassion that will forever be cherished by them.

Johnnie was the cornerstone of family gatherings, especially during the holidays, where she would orchestrate reunions that were filled with laughter, love, and the sharing of blessings. Her enthusiasm for these interests was infectious, and she often found ways to include her loved ones in these joys, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
