I also went to high school with Johnnie! He was a very special young man. He was funny and so much fun! He was an excellent football player and loved watching him play. My heart goes out to his family ~ I know he will be greatly missed.

I graduated with Johnnie and thought of him as a big teddy bear ! He was always so kind and funny in school. He never came to a reunion, even though I tried and tried. He was greatly liked and missed.
I remember when the seniors girls were getting to play powderpuff football and he was one of my tackles. He told me I really knocked him off his feet and we laughed and laughed. Coach Wilson told him and other guys they had better start being tougher on us or he was going to let us play and sit them out. We had a blast ! I'm so sorry for the loss, he never changed a bit. My sincere condolences and prayers for all.
