Survivors include daughter, Lecia Lattimer, son, Rodney Naler(Laurie), grandchildren, Scott Lattimer, Jonathan Lattimer(Brittany), Eric Carr, great-grandchildren, Xander Lattimer and Tyler Lattimer, along with serveral nieces and nephews.
JR was born in Ider, AL to parents, Issac Isiah and Dora Kate Strawn Naler. He worked at Revere Copper and Brass, North Alabama Transportation, Shaw Industries, and the City of Rome before retiring. He served as a medic with the Alabama National Guard along with the Ider Rescue Squad. He was a member of Henagar Masonic Lodge and a 32nd Degree Shriner. He loved camping and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Smith Naler, infant son, David Scott Naler, sisters, Lucille Long, Patsy Duncan, Vinna Lee Clardy, Flossie Blevins, infant sister, Kate, brothers, Arnold Naler and Millard Naler.
