Deacon Johnnie W. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Lowell, Florida. He was born to the late Coy Wilson and the late Mae Ethel Washington.
He was a faithful servant of the Lord and a lifelong member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon's Ministry for over 55 years, Sunday School Superintendent for approximately 45 years, Church Clerk, Sunday School teacher, Choir President, and a teacher of the Second Bethlehem Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education. He served many people in Marion County, utilizing his carpentry, plumbing, and electricity skills. He was the owner and driver of his dump truck, but due to an accident he had to stop driving the truck. He then went to work at Skyline Mobile Home factory. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and taking road trips with his family. He was called home November 30, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family
He was preceded in death by the following siblings: Henry, Olla, Ella, Rachel, Arlena and Gloria. His beloved first born son, Alvin Wilson, went to glory New Year's Day in 2024.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his devoted wife of 70 years, Lillie Jean Wilson of Lowell, FL; 3 children Wilbert Wilson, Destrehan, LA, Evangelist Lyndia Wilson, Darrel (Patricia) Wilson, Lowell, FL, Daughter-in-law Shandra Wilson, Brother-in-law Gilbert Chapelle, Lowell, FL; grandchildren; Tyrell Wilson, Sr, Altrina Wilson, Selena Wilson, Cassie Wilson, Brooke Wilson, Joshua Hannah, Vashti Hannah, LaMario Wilson, Kenyatta Wilson, Que Wilson; great–grandchildren Tyrell Jr, Tamaiya, Ranee, Kehlani, Callie; siblings Coy (Carolyn) Wilson, Zellwood, FL, Janie (Robert) Willis, Apopka, FL, Yvonne Stephens, Ralph (Jean) Wilson, Plymouth, FL, Carolyn Brown, Lowell, FL, Christine Washington, Ocala, FL,; Godsons Thomas Blue, III, Joey Shipp, dedicated friend Deacon Philip Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
