Johnny Bailey Obituary
Mr. Bailey passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Brumbeloe Bailey of Columbus, GA; one daughter, Megan Busby of Roanoke; one step-daughter, Alice Ehrhart of Columbus, GA; grandchild, Cassandra Busby Sooudi of Atlanta, GA; step-grandchildren, Taylor Ehrhart (Lauren) of Columbus, GA, and Sarah Ehrhart (Emily) of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Benford Sooudi and Franklin Sooudi; step-great-grandchildren, Bennett Ehrhart and Annie Kate Ehrhart; and several nieces and nephews.
A Rock Mills native, Mr. Bailey was born on May 30, 1928, the son of John Grover and Viola Roberts Bailey. He was a United States World War II naval veteran and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbus, GA. Mr. Bailey worked as an insurance salesperson for Aflac and was proud of his association with Aflac and was an Aflac pioneer. He enjoyed golfing and surfing the internet. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nancy Katherine Lee Bailey; three brothers and two sisters.

I was saddened to hear that Mr. John had passed away. He and Mrs. Julia used to join our group of retired friends at the Burger King Breakfast Club. Mr. John will be missed. He was a great friend who will not be forgotten! I enjoyed talking with him about his career with Aflac. May God bless Mrs. Julia and the family during this difficult time. Jim White

Ms Alice ms megan and Mrs Bailey my sincere wishes to all of you for comfort. All of you were amazing the short time I cared for Mr. Bailey. This temperature was one of the best any client I cared for had. His stories of his travel and him and Ms Julia were so amazing. Rest easy soldier
