Johnny Lee Fuller, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Mary Fuller in Cheraw, South Carolina. John Lee, as he was affectionately known as, was raised by his aunt, Annie Smith, and uncle, Daniel Smith “Uncle Dan.” He obtained his education in Cheraw, South Carolina, and worked at Palmetto Brickyard.
In the 1960’s he relocated to Paterson, New Jersey, where he worked at Acorn Tires and became a self-contractor, which was his passion. John Lee returned to North Carolina in the early 2000’s and resided in High Point. He was a hard worker and always went above and beyond with his perfectionist skills. His life was a testimony of kindness, strength, love, and laughter. Mr. John loved music and dancing.
John Lee was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Paul Lee Williams and Virginia Lynn Very; two sisters, Annie E. Byndloss and Emily Cole; one brother, Albert Fuller; and the love of his life, longtime companion, Mary Onofri.
He is survived by two daughters, Zena Fuller-Santos (Steven), and Johnel Lee Fuller-Goines (Sean); one son, Albert Fuller (Claranise); two stepchildren, Shyanne Beach and Bryson Simon; thirty-two grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
