Johnny Giddings Obituary
A visitation for Johnny R. Giddings will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Doyline, Louisiana with a graveside service to follow at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites. Officiating will be Bro. Gavin Spinney.
Johnny was born July 2, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into rest September 29, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Johnny served his country in the United States Army with a tour in Vietnam in 1969 -1971.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rose Mary Giddings, mother, Lucille Smith and father, Lawrence “Smitty” Smith and brother, Jackie Giddings.
He is survived by his sons, Timmothy Giddings and Larry Giddings of Doyline, special niece, Kelly Burge of Doyline, sister-in-law, Judy Giddings of Doyline, brothers-in-law, Bill Timmons of Doyline, Randy Timmons of Dallas, and Ricky Fletcher of Haughton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Buster Flowers, Warren Saucier, Chris Saucier, Mike Shepherd, Gary McDowell, and Rob Burge
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert (Red) Russell, Bill Timmons, David Saucier, Jimmy Saucier, and Ricky Fletcher.
The family requested that attendees dress casual.
