Johnny Ray Greer

Johnny Ray Greer of Lindale, Texas, passed away surrounded by those who loved him. He had been a resident of Lindale for the past 30 years and spent much of his life in the Lindale area.
Johnny was an active and valued member of the Tyler, Texas Deaf community, where he formed lifelong friendships and connections. He was known for his kindness, quiet strength, and the care he showed to those around him. Johnny worked for Tyler Independent School District for seven years, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Jack Lynn Greer, and his stepfather, Russell Volk.
Johnny is survived by his loving mother, Janis Volk; and his sisters: Tammy Holly of Tyler, Texas; Tracy Freeman of Mineola, Texas; Stacy Mitchell of Tyler, Texas; and Kimberly Dodds of Lindale, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.
