Obituary
Guest Book
Johnny was a lifelong Lubbock resident and graduated from Coronado High School in 1973. An entrepreneur at heart, he spent many years owning and operating a fencing business alongside his brother. Through hard work, dedication, and a good sense of humor, Johnny built a business that reflected his strong work ethic and straightforward way of doing things.
Johnny truly enjoyed life. He had a passion for horse racing, loved playing cards-especially poker-and was a gifted storyteller who could keep anyone entertained. He had a deep affection for animals, particularly cats, and never hesitated to show kindness to them. In his quieter moments, Johnny found comfort watching classic pre-1990s movies, often revisiting old favorites.
He is survived by his twin brother, Jimmy W. Henderson; his sister, Paula Telford; his nephew, Travis Telford, cousins, Vicki Bradshaw, Donna Debusk, Joe Lykes, and wife Lisa Lykes; and many friends who will fondly remember his stories, laughter, and generous spirit.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents.
