Johnny Herbert Jr., 82, of Knoxville, and born in Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.
Johnny was a retired firefighter with the City of Knoxville Fire Department and a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Pershing Herbert and Mary Louise Cash Herbert; first wife, Helen Louise Herbert; and sister, Virginia Hope Wiser.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Herbert; daughter, Rhonda Daniels; son, Michael Herbert; sister, Brenda Hack; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet at Bridges Funeral Home at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, to process to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1 p.m. Graveside Service, with Paul Trumpore officiating.
Pallbearers: Michael Herbert, John Isbell, Fred Daniels, Marcus Bingham, Dennis Beckley and Mark Lacey.
