Johnny Brown Lapinski, 81, of Americus, died Friday, February 27, 2026 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
A native of Havanna, FL, Johnny was born to the late Thomas and Elsie Mae Lapinski. He was a truck driver with Underwood Trucking until his retirement. Johnny enjoyed fishing, flying remote airplanes, camping and wood carving. He was a Mason. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Cashmere Lapinski, Jr., and his first love and mother of his children, Sue Lapinski.
He is survived by his children: Johnny Heath Lapinski and Barbara Lapinski Russ and her husband Rockki; three grandchildren: Mallary Welch and her husband Taylor, Emily Grace Kelley and her husband Zach, and Kesler Heath Wiggins; a brother, Robert Lapinski; two great grandchildren: Adelynn and Isabelle Kelley; his former wife, Peggy Lapinski and several nieces and nephews.
