Douglas Eugene Brown, 68, of Americus, died Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Willson Hospice House is Albany.
The memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, December 20th at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.
Douglas was born in Sarasota, FL to the late Bobby and Carolyn Brown. He previously served in law enforcement as an officer with the Americus Police Department and as a deputy with the Sumter County Sheriff’s office. Douglas was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains. One of his favorite hobbies included collecting Lionel trains.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Dianne; two daughters: Miranda Comingore and Tiffany McClure and her husband Jesse; a son, Douglas Simonet and his wife Heather; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Timothy Brown and his wife Heidi; and a sister, Glenda Padgett and her husband Joe.
