Johnny Frank Owen, age 74, of Rising Star, Texas, peacefully left this world on February 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 10, 1951, in Gorman, Texas, he was the cherished son of L.T. Owen and Josie Hogan-Owen. After graduating from Rising Star High School, Johnny attended Cisco Junior College, where he pursued his passions.
A dedicated correctional officer with the Department of Justice, Johnny devoted himself to upholding justice and serving his community with integrity. His warm heart and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many.
Johnny's life was brightened by his loving relationship with Elizabeth Lee. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life for 30 wonderful years, always finding their way back to one another. They are the proud parents of two sons, Tommy and Payton.
Johnny was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, finding joy in the camaraderie of football, but his greatest joy came from the love of his family. He is now reunited in spirit with his parents, his brother, and his beloved dog, Hanna, who welcome him with open arms into the next chapter.
Johnny Frank Owen will be lovingly remembered for his kindness and dedication to family. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
