Johnny Earl Pate, 74, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Bernard’s in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on October 11, 1947 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Earl and Rachel Morrison Pate. He served his country with honor from 1964 to 1970 in the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Kenny Pate.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 54 years: Darline Moorman Pate of the home, one son: John Michael Pate (Michelle) of Lepanto, Arkansas, four daughters: Debra Cole of Smiths Station, Alabama, Tammie Stanford of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Kim Lamb husband Wade of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Terri Jennings husband Randy of Lepanto, Arkansas, one brother: Curtis Pate of Lepanto, Arkansas, one sister: Barbara Gossage of Mulberry, Arkansas, nine grandchildren: Brandon, John, Brandi, Darian, Ayson, Amber, Clayton, Weston and Kayden and ten great grandchildren: Brayden, Jordan, Paisley, Emily, Brystol, Gabe, Fitz, Sawyer, Bodi and Salem.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Brandon Cole, John Stanford, Ayson Lamb, Clayton Jennings, Weston Stanford and Kayden Jennings.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. until service time.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
