Joy Shempert Obituary
Joy Annette Shempert, 66, of Dyess, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her home. She was born on March 24, 1959 to Howard, Jr and Evelyn Henard Fincher in Osceola, Arkansas. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed shopping and cooking. Family was her life; and spending time with them gave her such joy, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Joy is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years: Ricky Shempert of the home, son: Tye Shempert of Dyess, two daughters: Brittney Morrow of Dyess and Courtney Shempert of Dyess, brother: Mark Fincher (Callie) of Dyess, two sisters: Gwenda Cissell (Carl) of Bassett and Lynn Smith (James) of Springdale, four grandchildren: Brett, Kyndel, Maycee and Carson, two great grandchildren: Elizabeth and Kinley.
Funeral services will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow service at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
Brother Bob Hall will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto.
