Johnny Rabon

MR. JOHNNY RABON, affectionally known as "Fat," was the son of John and Mae Bell Rabon. He was born on October 17, 1937, in Terrell County, Georgia, and he spent all his adult life in Atlanta, Georgia, and Lithonia, Georgia.
Life could have felt like a defeat for Fat, but he met his lifelong illness with the vigor of a conquering soldier. He tried to manage his illness with strength and grace. In his final days, Fat was surrounded by loved ones who cared for him until the very end. Our hearts ache to know that he is no longer here. His memory will live on in the lives he touched.
On Sunday morning, January 15, 2023, Fat was no longer bound by the frailties of an earthly body. He is now able to move freely as a heavenly angel just like he dealt with all experiences in life. Johnny was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Mae Bell Rabon; and his sisters, Ruth Kendrick and Mamie Woodard.
Left to bravely keep Johnny's memory alive are: his son, Travis Rabon; his grandson, Amire Rabon; his aunt, Bennie Jones; his sisters, Minnie (Bob) Brown, Betty Pugh, Alice Clark, and Ailee Ramkisson; brothers, Tommy (Precious) Rabon, Doug, Ernest, Ulysses, and Al; plenty of friends, especially Herbert Harris and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will always remember him fondly.
