Johnny Lee Collins Rapier, age 78, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky

Born on April 3, 1946, in Mansfield, Ohio, he was a son to the late Elmer Ray Rapier and Alva Ann Collins Rapier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Kevin Rapier, Jamie, and Alfie; and by his three sisters, Bonnie Lou Garland, Connie Barton, and Ella Perry.

Known for his dedication to his work, Johnny took great pride in caring for his home and family. His tireless efforts and commitment to providing for his loved ones will forever be remembered. Johnny is survived by his children, Gerald Collins Rapier, John Collins, Hettie and Sherri; step children, Laura Le Brock and Stacey Renee Blevins; life long companion, Brenda S. Kiskaden; sister, Laura Thomas; brother, JR Rapier; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Dowis Chapel Cemetery in Woodbine, Kentucky.

Donations are being accepted to help with funeral expenses. To make a donation, please call or stop by Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, or you may select the "Tribute Fund' icon to make your online donation. The family will be given a list of everyone who have donated.
