Johnny Mack Renner, 53, of Morristown, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2025. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and best friend, Johnny's life was marked by service, devotion to family, and an unwavering commitment to integrity and kindness.
Born on April 14, 1972, in Morristown, Tennessee, Johnny served with distinction in the United States Air Force from 1991 to 2004. Rising to the rank of Technical Sergeant, he specialized as a Russian Linguistic and Slavic Crypto Instructor. His military service was decorated with numerous honors including the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal among many others. His contributions exemplified courage and excellence-qualities that defined him both in uniform and beyond.

His ethics and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and peers alike. Since 2022, Johnny enjoyed his role as Procurement Manager at Colortech in Morristown.
Johnny's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He cherished every moment with his son Caleb Renner-affectionately known as "Bub"-and found immense pride and happiness in his grandchildren Jax "Little Man" Richardson and Elysia "Baby Girl" Richardson. His love for them was boundless and evident to all who knew him.
He is also remembered by his brother Kenneth Renner and lifelong best friend Jenn Renner. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Linda Ruth Drain and Kenneth Lee Renner.
A man of deep faith, Johnny was a Christian who maintained a steadfast belief in God throughout his life. His charismatic spirit, generous heart, selfless nature, and sharp sense of humor left lasting impressions on everyone he encountered. Admired by many for both his personal character and professional accomplishments, Johnny embodied what it meant to be an American hero-not only through military service but through everyday acts of love and honor.
