Johnny "John" Roach

Johnny "John" Roach age 82, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025. A lifelong resident of Ringgold, Georgia, John was a member of Yates Spring Full Gospel Church. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. John was an excellent mechanic and loved working on anything mechanical from small engines in lawnmowers to full-size cars. He was a simple man and retired from Candlewick Yarn after twenty years of service.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Roach; his parents, Charles Edward Roach and Lillian Parker Roach; his grandchildren, Josh Westbrook and Latisha Roach, as well as several siblings.

He is survived by his children, John "Chris" (Marilyn Lynn) Roach and Karen (William) Helmes; his sisters, Barbara Simerly and Linda Walker; his brothers-in-law, Rickie Little, Howell Little, Denny Little; grandchildren, Eric Caruthers and Jennifer Westbrook Witt as well as three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes, Wallis–Stewart Chapel with Pastor Tim Dennison officiating.
