Jane Fields Roach

Jane Younger Fields Roach, 89, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Commonwealth Assisted Living. Born on October 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George William Younger and Eva Daisy Matthews Younger.
Jane was an Administrative Assistant at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury for 18 years, retiring in 1997. Prior to that she was employed with JC Penney and Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Church and a previous member of Christ Church and Asbury United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, church activities, going to the beach, and spending time with family.
Jane is survived by her four daughters, Debbie Donaway & her husband George of Salisbury, Cindy Ahlers of Gettysburg, PA, Betsy Schmickley & her husband Bruce of Millsboro, DE, Jalene Breeger & her husband Bruce of Newport News, VA; two step-daughters, Terry Lynn Culver and Gerry Ann Higgings; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Lisa Hoffman and Lesley Bishop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Phillip R. Fields in 1995; her second husband, Dallas Glenn Roach in 2022; sister, Nancy Hudson; sister-in-law, Jane Fields; son-in-law, Richard Ahlers; sister-in-law, Eleanor Younger; father-in-law, Richard Fields; mother-in-law, Maggie Fields; and two brothers, Edwin Younger and Everett Younger.
A funeral service will be held at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 9, 2026, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury with Rev. Fred Duncan officiating.
