Johnny Roberts

Johnny H. Roberts was born October 1, 1944, to Jesse Eugene and Ruth (Hodges) Roberts in Springfield Missouri. Johnny passed peacefully at home Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the age of 79 years. Johnny served in the United States Army for two years as a mechanic then was a member of the Army Reserves. Johnny was a diesel mechanic for most of his adult life working for GMAC and going on to retire from Springfield City Utilities.
On May 15, 2003, he married Janet Lodene Hollamon and they presently resided in Fair Grove, Missouri. Johnny had a passion for motorcycles, loved riding and enjoyed traveling. One of the things he looked forward to and loved the most was spending time with his family and friends. Johnny was mild mannered. He never spoke an ill word about another person, never complained about being sick and was so kind and generous.
Johnny is survived by his wife Janet Roberts; three sons, Johnny H Roberts Jr. and his significant other Brenda, Damon Talley and wife Candice, Shane Dennis and wife Donna; four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Zachary, Braden, Gavin; four great-grandchildren, Brayli, Bowen, Boone and Briggs; two brothers, James Roberts and wife Kay and Bill Roberts; one sister Louanne Wade and husband John; three nieces and two nephews; and an aunt Lola Roberts.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Ruth Roberts and youngest son Michael Roberts.
