As the matriarch of her family and oldest of seven, Dorothy is survived by her children, Robin Fox, Brent Barnhart (Krista), and Sherrie Montaruli (John); grandchildren, Lindsay Wilson (Brent), Tyler Fox (Hannah), Mary Ellis Barnhart, Casey Coen (Cindy), Farrah Gilbert (Erik), Rex Pennebaker, Apple Barnhart, Pepper Pemberton, Tony Burns, Reggie Burns; great-grandchildren, Liam, Eleanor, Drue, Griffin, Alahna, and Scarlett, and siblings, Janet Walters, Jerry Shelton, Alice Martin (Tom), and Steve Shelton (Lynn).
Dorothy had a caring heart from an early age, always looking after her brothers and sisters and making sure everyone around her was cared for. Her compassion and steady faith were evident in all she did, and she was a cherished member of the Southside Church of Christ, where she found strength and lifelong friendships. Dorothy was a devoted wife and loving mother who poured her heart into her family. She also found joy in shopping, particularly at Dillard's, and cherished her collection of fine jewelry, a reflection of her grace and lively nature. Peace, be still. -Mark 4:39
