Joyce I. Hodge, age 86, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the Willard Care Center in Willard, Missouri. Joyce was born to Warren and Dorothy (Morton) Bennehoff on May 9, 1939, in Orangeville, Illinois. Joyce was raised in Orangeville and graduated from Orangeville High School in 1957. Joyce was united in marriage to Lewis Edward Hodge (7/6/1930) on March 28, 1959, in her hometown of Orangeville, Illinois. Joyce and Lewis were married for sixty years before Lewis's untimely passing on March 10, 2019. The couple was blessed with one son, Jay.
For many years, Joyce worked as a food services worker at Baptist Homes of Ozark. Joyce provided meals and friendship to countless residents during her time of employment. When not working, Joyce enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her many flowers, especially her red roses. She also loved the holidays and enjoyed decorating for each holiday season. Joyce also liked word find books and was an avid fan of the QVC Channel.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Dorothy Bennehoff; son, Jay Hodge; sisters: Norma Sigafus, Gayle Frayer, and Diane Jones. She is survived by her sister, Donna Holloway; brother, Donald Bennehoff; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Joyce will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched.
A memorial service for Joyce Hodge will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, 11:00 am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center in Ozark, Missouri. Joyce will be laid to rest at a later date in the state of Illinois.
