Johnny Frank Smith, a husband, father, and friend, passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 71, in New Castle, Henry County, Kentucky. He was born on May 1, 1953, in Joanna, Laurens County, South Carolina, to Edger Smith and Vonalee Davis Smith, who preceded him in death, along with his brother Alan Smith and five sisters.

Johnny had a fulfilling career as a truck driver for M & M Trucking in Madison. He took great pride in his work, Johnny served his country honorably in the United States Army, embodying the spirit of duty and service.

Beyond his career and military service, Johnny embraced life with a zest for adventure. He cherished the great outdoors and often indulged in his love for camping. He also had a keen interest in woodworking, which allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship. Johnny's enthusiasm extended to racing; he was an avid Nascar fan. His days were often brightened by trips to Lowes, where he found joy in exploring new tools and home improvement projects. Additionally, he had a playful spirit and enjoyed the thrill of gambling, which brought excitement to his life.

Johnny is survived by his devoted wife, Valerie Webster Smith, of Carrollton, KY, whom he married on November 13, 2023, after 20 years of a life filled with love, fun, and adventures. He is also survived by his sons, Jason and Jeffrey Smith both of North Carolina, two stepsons, William Baumgardner and Fred Baumgardner both of Indianapolis, IN, and a stepdaughter, Garlena (Brian) Isaac of Carrollton, KY. Johnny's legacy will continue to live on through his seven beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought him immense joy.

Johnny's life will be honored with a visitation on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both to be held at the English Christian Church located at 2076 KY-227 in Carrollton, KY.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Johnny F. Smith leaves behind not only cherished memories but also a profound impact on the lives he touched throughout his journey.
