John grew up in the Pettit area. He enjoyed riding horses, raising cattle, and working around the farm. He enjoyed watching rodeos and loved spending time with his family and friends. He retired from County District #3.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Alice Terrell, his brother Jerry, and sisters Maxine Ballard-Justus, Jean Murray, Joan Jackson, and nephews Dewey Ballard and Randy Jackson.
He is survived by wife Sue (Stanley) Terrell of the home. His daughter Tammy (Terrell) Ford and husband Billy Ford, and his son Johnny Terrell Jr and wife Dayna. Along with five grandchildren, Billy Ford Jr, Holly (Ford) Pitts, Sarah Ford, Evan Terrell, Alden Terrell and wife Justi. As well as two great grandchildren, Cameron Pitts and Rollins Terrell. And his sister Glenda Jackson and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM Holland Cemetery.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

When I think of Johnny I remember his smile and friendliness. He would always speak and was fun to visit with. Sue, Tammy, Johnny Jr., and all the family I am so sorry for your loss. Johnny was a good guy. May God give you comfort during this difficult time.
