Johnny Wayne "Lebanon" Wiseman

Johnny Wayne Wiseman, son of James C. and Vickie L. Sims Wiseman, was born October 7, 1972 in Aurora, Illinois. He passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of fifty-three years, two months and twenty-one days.

Johnny spent most of his life in Princeton, Kentucky where he graduated from West Hopkins High School. He went on to earn his degree in History at Central Texas College. Johnny joined the United States Marines and served for four years. After a brief break, he enlisted with the United States Army where he would serve for twenty years and would retire from service as a Master Sergeant. He received many medals for his accomplishments from the Marines and the Army throughout his career.

On July 23, 2003, Johnny was united in marriage to Sarah Holldorf. They enjoyed almost twenty-two years of love and laughter and raising their children. Sarah passed away March 20, 2025.

Johnny is survived by his six daughters, Brooke Wiseman, Samantha Wiseman and Jennifer Wiseman, all of Springfield, Missouri and Jessie Wiseman of St. Robert, Missouri, Brittani Williams and her husband Trevor of Republic, Missouri, Sierra Wright and her husband Matthew of Dixon, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Riley, Aaron, Aiden, Junior, Lily, Timothy, Addy and Helix; his parents, James and Vickie Wiseman; one brother, James Wiseman of Providence, Kentucky; and his sister, Tina Johnson and her husband Michael of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.

Johnny followed the Baptist faith.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Johnny found joy in fishing, hunting and being on his tractor.

Johnny was a devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather and loving son and brother. He was a caring and trusted neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know his family will treasure the memories they made with him.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home with full military honors.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

A memorial to Wounded Warriors has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
