Jolene Felecia Corry was born on December 21, 1957 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was the firstborn to James Hilliard Corry Jr. and Bernice Burnett Corry. Jolene attended All Saints Catholic School and Public School #22 until the age of 10 when she integrated Joseph Bresinger Public School No. 17, along with her sisters where she thrived. Always a good student with a quiet nature, she went on to graduate from Henry Snyder High School in 1975 and later obtained an Associate's Degree from Hudson County Community College.
Jolene was employed with the United States Postal Service and served for 27 years in various positions. While there, she was commended for her dedication and perfect attendance. Jolene made her home and was welcomed into the community of Maplewood, New Jersey where she served as a respected and cherished school crossing guard for 16 years, showing the same level of dedication to keeping children safe. Jolene had a friendly, humble and somewhat shy personality and was very supportive of others. Regardless of how much time had passed, reconnecting with Jolene was as if you had spoken with her just yesterday.
Jolene is predeceased by her father James Hilliard Corry Jr.
Jolene leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving Mother Bernice Burnett Corry, Sisters Marcia Corry Huiel (Scottie) of Soperton, GA and Michelle Corry of East Orange, NJ; Brother James Corry III of Maplewood, NJ; Nephew Vincent J. Corry of Soperton, NJ, Nieces Marica B. Corry of Atlanta, GA and Clarice A. Huiel of Soperton, GA and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss her bright smile and warm heart.
