Jolene Markland was born on September 23, 1949 at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, NE. She was the 8th child born to Walter and Letha Sapp of Harvard. She lived her entire life in Harvard and attended Harvard public school. Jolene married John Markland and they had 2 children, Paul and Mariann.
Jolene was always a kind and generous sole. She would literally give you the food out of her cupboard. She lived for the last 1 1/2 years at Westfield Quality Care in Aurora, NE. She passed away on March 13, 2025.
She is survived by her son Paul Markland of Hastings, daughter Mari Lewellyn of Harvard, brother Ken Sapp of Beatrice and 4 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday April 4, 2025 at the Harvard Cemetery, followed by tea and cookies at the Harvard Church of Christ.
