Jon Jennings Eddy, 73 years old
Husband, Father, and Grandfather
March 17, 1951 - July 6, 2024
Jennings, as he liked to be known, went to be with his Creator and loved ones in heaven on July 6, 2024.
Jennings was born on March 17, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia to Evalee Ruth Smith Eddy and Alvin Bernard Eddy. His sister, Bernadine "Bunny" Eddy was excited to have a little brother and loved him dearly all her life.
Jennings received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Glenville State College in Glenville, WV and a Master's Degree in Social and Rehabilitation from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. During his college years, he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity. During his life in WV, he became a 3rd Degree member of the Freemasons. Throughout his life, he was a member of the Church of Christ. After a lifetime of working, he retired from Wake Anesthesiology in Raleigh, NC.
Jennings was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather, and sister. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Sharon Boggs Eddy, his daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Everette Faison II, and his granddaughter, Adell Faison.
In honor of his final wishes, his ashes will be spread in the hills of West Virginia, where he said he felt closest to God and always enjoyed the peace to be found among the trees
Jon Jennings Eddy was loved by many, cherished by his family, and will be missed by all.
