Jon Edwin Ferguson went into the presence of the Lord on December 27, 2025, at the age of 87, in
Tomball, Texas. Jon was born on August 6th, 1938, to Clarence Ferguson and Josephine (Hart) Ferguson,
in La Salle, Texas.
Jon was proceeded in death by Clarence Ferguson (father), Josephine Ferguson (mother), Molly Ferguson
(wife) and Leigh Ann Ferguson (daughter).
He is survived by Jon K Ferguson (son), Kimberly Ferguson
(daughter-in-law), Robert Ferguson (son), Travis Ferguson (son), Alison Ferguson (daughter-in-law), Cole

During his early years he moved around as his father was in the National Guard, in
places including Louisiana, Florida, and Massachusetts. After his father was deployed Jon and his
mother returned to Texas, eventually settling in Groesbeck. There he attended both elementary school
and high school. He was a member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for a period of time, and then was
in the band in high school, playing first the clarinet and then the tuba.
He graduated near the top of his class and then enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin. He studied Civil Engineering and also was part of the US Naval ROTC. While attending UT, Jon started dating Molly Ann Brooks, who grew up in a small town near Groesbeck (Thorton). Jon graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 1961 and married Molly a week later. He then served for two years in the Navy as part of the Civil Engineering Core of Engineers to complete his ROTC commitment. Jon and Molly then returned to Texas and eventually settled in the Spring area in the Cypresswood community. Jon worked at Brown & Root (and subsequent companies that acquired Brown & Root) for over 35 years.
Jon helped raise four children, spending time in countless activities including cub scout Dad and soccer coach. You could always find him on the sidelines of his children's activities (and grandchildren when able). He loved to play cards and board games. The minute people met him they realized he was kind, respectful, intelligent, and always giving of his time and attention. He was a long-time member of The Holy Comforter Episcopal Church.
