Jon Edward Goffaux, 72, of Chesterfield, VA, was escorted into Heaven with God on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with his wife, Susan and stepdaughter, Sandra by his side. Born on December 11, 1952, in Charleston, WV, to the late Jules Emile Goffaux and Dorothy Marie Fullman Goffaux. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jules and his sister, Joellen Graham.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Megan Vaughan and her family of Colonial Heights; son; Jon Anthony (Jill); grandchildren, Dillion and Emma of AL and Jason Goffaux of Prince George, VA; stepson, Clifton Elliott and family; stepdaughter, Sandra Shelton and family, both of Midlothian, VA; brothers, James Gregory and Doug of Centre AL, and Don (Rita Robin) of Charleston, WV; sisters, Jean Stenger and family of Whiting, NJ, and Denise (John) of Rotonda West, FL.
Jon graduated in 1972 from Charleston Catholic Highschool and Vol Tech as an electrician. He retired in 2019 from Dominion Energy Surry Nuclear Plant with over 25 years of service as a Safety Tech.
Jon loved the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, especially in the Shenandoah area just sitting by a stream listening to the flowing waters and taking in the beauty of the day, or at a nice campfire where he could sit for hours. Jon loved all forms of nature and taking pictures of all its beauty.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, time to be announced, in the chapel at Victory Tabernacle Church, 11700 Genito Road, Midlothian, VA 23112. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
