With full hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Jon R. Haime. Jon passed away peacefully after a brief illness on August 6, 2025, with his family by his side.
Jon was born July 6, 1961, in Morocco, Africa to the parents of Richard and Diane Haime of Washington. He had an adventurous life growing up in a military family and later he joined the Navy serving on the USS Whipple.
After his service, destiny brought him to Midland where he met and married the love of his life Sandra Weyrowski. Jon spent most of his career life in the culinary service industry. Sixteen years ago, Jon found his "retirement" job working at Colonial Villa as their culinary service manager until his real retirement. Jon really enjoyed his camaraderie with the residents and their families.
Jon enjoyed spending time playing golf, hunting, fishing and camping but what brought him the most joy was being a "PAPA"
Jon leaves behind his wife Sandra Haime, parents Richard and Diane Haime, his daughter Alayna Coulter, son-in-law Kinton Coulter and PAPA's favorite people Aubry Coulter, Kallie Coulter and Lacy Coulter, his daughter Celina Jonhson of Iowa and her family, his brother Robert Haime (Diana) Haime of Washington, his sister Brandi Bender of Washington, nieces, nephew and great nephews.
In honoring Jon's wishes, there will be a memorial at a later time.
All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Haime family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
