Jon W. Hammond, 80 years young, of Gulf Breeze, FL went to heaven to be with Jesus in eternity. He was greeted by our Father in heaven and reunited with his loved ones. He will be dearly missed by his family & friends.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Blanche Hammond, Brother, Hal Hammond, Sisters, Nancy Hammond, & Connie Shryock, and infant Sheppard Satterwhite.
Jon is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Hammond, Sister, Jane Baker, Sons, Jonathan Hammond, Joseph Hammond, David Satterwhite, & Grandchildren, Joey Hammond, Jake Hammond, Bella Satterwhite, Harlyn Stone.
Jon was a loyal family man with the highest integrity. He enjoyed his boys and grandchildren and loved spending time with them and became a beloved Gramps & Pop. Jon was such a fun-loving guy and had a great sense of humor and calming demeanor. He loved his music which included all genres, he played the trombone & piano, loved the sun and beach, camping, boating, golfing, farming, tennis, and all water related activities. Most of all he loved a good hot fudge sundae and deserts.
Jon was originally from Ohio and later in life he relocated to Pensacola and worked with Sandy Sansing BMW, successfully for over a decade. He then met his wife of 26 beautiful years, Darlene Hammond and they became inseparable. Darlene & Jon worked together in their Real Estate business & Jon was the Marketing Director and he had a great sense of creativity in advertising and loved promoting their brand at ReMax. Jon was a man of deep faith & commitment and a believer in Jesus Christ. Darlene & Jon were members at GBUMC in Gulf Breeze for over 20 years where Jon became involved in the Joshua’s Men’s Group where he developed many lifelong bonds of friendship & he deeply grew in his faith. For the past several years he attended Coastline Calvary Church of Gulf Breeze and enjoyed his church, and he had many church family friends at Coastline Calvary. He was so grateful for their friendship and love.

A celebration of Life will be held at Coastline Calvary Church with Pastor John Spencer officiating at 1122 Oriole Beach Rd., Gulf Breeze, FL 32563, Friday, December 27, 2024, visitation 10:00 am-11:00 am, service 11:00 am-12 noon, with a reception at the Hammond Home following. In lieu of flowers, send a Maple tree to be planted at Jon’s beloved farm or send a donation to Coastline Christian School in Gulf Breeze in Jon’s memory.
